At Yarra Junction Primary School we welcome new enrolments throughout the year and across all grades.Choosing a school for your child can be a confusing process. At Yarra Junction Primary School we understand that for families to make a decision that is the right fit, they will want to see the learning spaces and specialist classes on offer at our school. This is why we understand that a guided tour is the best way for families to see our school in action. A personal guided tour can be a great way for families to see classes as they are happening and provide an opportunity to ask questions and receive information in context as they walk around each learning area.
2025 FOUNDATION ENROLMENT PROCESS
This year our school will use an online system for new enrolments.The online system will be available for parents who are applying to enrol their child in Foundation (Prep). An application form can be completed on laptops, PC’s and mobile phones. The online system will also allow you to upload documented proof of residential address.
Victorian government school enrolments for Foundation (Prep) for the 2025 school year will open from Monday 15 April 2024, the start of Term 2.
Visit https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form by Friday 26 July 2024. If you would prefer to submit a paper application form, please contact us.
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.
Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

IMMUNISATION HISTORY STATEMENTS
Please note that as of 28 February 2018, an Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register will be the only form of documentation accepted as proof of a child's immunisation status.Without a statement showing completed immunisation, your child cannot be enrolled in school.Documents provided by GPs or other immunisation providers will no longer be sufficient as a form of evidence.Medicare will usually automatically send you an Immunisation History Statement when your child turns 5.
